Busch Gardens Williamsburg Announces Return to Corkscrew Hill Attraction
Busch Gardens Williamsburg has announced plans for a new attraction for 2027. On August 3, 2026, the park shared a video announcing the Return to Corkscrew Hill in the park’s Killarney, Ireland, area. The park teased the announcement in a separate, previous post on August 2nd.
The attraction is expected to be a simulator dark ride leveraging new technology. The park shared a new storyline.
Step back into the enchanted world of Corkscrew Hill, where a seemingly innocent tour of an old Irish castle becomes a race to escape a witch's trap. Miniaturized to the size of the wee people, you'll speed across the Irish countryside, soar through the Dark Forest past legendary creatures, and come face to face with some old friends (and foes). Filled with magical surprises and breathtaking action, this all-new chapter continues the legend of Busch Gardens Williamsburg's beloved attraction.
Return to Corkscrew Hill is a successor to the former Cork Screw Hill attraction, which was a simulator dark ride attraction at the park from 2001 to 2009. The show building has hosted a number of simulator attractions, including Questor (1991-1995), King Arthur's Challenge (1996-2000), Cork Screw Hill (2001-2009), Europe in the Air (2010-2016), and Battle for Eire (2018-2021).
