$100 Million Expansion Announced for Anakeesta
Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, has announced plans for a significant $100 million expansion over the next five years. Construction for Phase One of the project begins this month, November 2025.
Phase One (2026)
Phase One includes a reimagined Firefly Village, a new year-round nighttime Firefly Experience, a new scenic lift system, and an expansion to the Treetop Skywalk.

The Firefly Experience will begin in fall 2026, featuring state-of-the-art lighting and design to illuminate the forest at night. The new scenic lift will debut in spring 2026, replacing the Chondola system with 56 glass-bottom cabins providing 360-degree views of the Smoky Mountains. Finally, the Treetop Skywalk expansion will debut in spring 2026 with additional towers, bridges, and pathways.
Phase Two (2027)
Details haven’t been announced for Phase Two, but Anakeeta’s website says, “additional projects and attractions are on the horizon, each designed to bring fresh wonder and unforgettable moments to every Anakeesta visit.”
