Lost Island Announces New RMC Family Coaster for 2027

Lost Island Themepark (Waterloo, IA) has announced plans to open Forbidden’s Lair, a custom Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) family coaster in 2027. The coaster is the first RMC “Wild Moose” known to have been sold since the company announced the new model at IAAPA Expo 2024 in Orlando, Florida.

Both Rocky Mountain Construction and Lost Island Themepark teased news leading up to the announcement on August 16, 2026, National Roller Coaster Day. The new coaster will be the 5th coaster in Lost Island’s lineup and the newest addition since the RMC Raptor model Fire Runner opened in 2025.
