Holiday World Announces Cannonball Water Coaster for 2027
Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari (Santa Claus, Indiana) has announced a new attraction, planned to open in May 2027! Cannonball is a Mack Rides Water Coaster that will be a new addition to the theme park's 4th of July area.
Cannonball is themed around a swimming pool cannonball competition in the fictional town of Boulder Canyon.
“Travel to scenic Boulder Canyon for the 37th Annual Cannonball Competition at the Boulder Canyon Community Center. Thanks to the ingenuity of Elmer Raines, the competition now allows group entries, and they sure make a splash! Will your team win? There’s only one way to find out. Look out for Ron the Swan and Ron Swan’s Son after you take the plunge!”
The new attraction will feature seven 8-passenger boats. The ride will be 3 minutes long, 1,700 feet long, reach a max height of 90 feet, and have a top speed of 45 mph. Guests must be at least 42” to ride with a companion, and at least 48” to ride alone.
