Six Flags Selling Seven Parks to Optimize Portfolio

Six Flags has announced it is optimizing and strengthening its portfolio by selling seven parks:

  • Michigan’s Adventure (Muskegon, MI)

  • Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston (Galveston, TX)

  • Six Flags Great Escape (Queensbury, NY)

  • Six Flags La Ronde (Montreal, QC)

  • Six Flags St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)

  • Valleyfair (Minneapolis, MN)

  • Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, MO)

EPR Properties, based in Kansas City, MO, is acquiring all seven of the parks.

"This strategic acquisition represents a compelling opportunity to expand our attractions portfolio with high-quality experiential real estate assets in established regional markets," said Gregory K. Silvers, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EPR Properties. "These properties embody the essential characteristics we seek: delivering stable, long-term cash flows, strong drive-to accessibility, multi-generational appeal, and significant underlying land value. This transaction aligns with our disciplined investment criteria and accelerates our strategic expansion into experiential properties that create enduring value for our shareholders.”

According to an EPR Properties press release, six of the parks will operate by an EPR Properties entity called Enchanted Parks (formerly Innovative Attraction Management). Six Flags La Ronde will be operated by La Ronde Operations, Inc, owned by Kieran Burke.

All seven parks will continue normal operations for the 2026 season. For more details, including a list of Frequently Asked Questions, read the news post on the Six Flags website.
