ArieForce One is Going to Six Flags Magic Mountain

Well, that didn’t take too long. Less than two months after Six Flags announced they had acquired the ArieForce One roller coaster, we now know where the coaster is heading.

The Orange County Register was the first to confirm that ArieForce One will open at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2028. Truckloads of track and supports started to arrive at the Valencia, California, theme park on Thursday, October 9th. It isn’t yet known where in the park the coaster will go, but some speculate it could go in the former site of the recently closed X2 steel coaster.

Six Flags Magic Mountain wasn’t very high on the list of Six Flags parks that were likely to receive ArieForce One. Coaster enthusiasts thought Kings Island and Carowinds deserved the coaster, since both have lacked a significant new thrill coaster addition for several years. In addition, both parks have themed lands that could support ArieForce One thematically.

The addition of ArieForce One to Six Flags Magic Mountain is a bit of a surprise, considering the park is already home to two Rocky Mountain Construction coasters, the steel/wood hybrid Twisted Colossus and the single-rail Wonder Woman Flight of Courage.

“Our vision for Magic Mountain includes new attractions, more family experiences, enhanced entertainment and seasonal events, park beautification, new guest amenities, and meaningful infrastructure improvements throughout the property, Brian Oerding, park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain said in a statement.

“Let’s just say the future of Magic Mountain is far bigger than what may be arriving on trucks this week. What guests are seeing is just the beginning of one of the most significant transformations in the park’s history.”
