Buffalo Bill’s and Desperado Coaster Likely Closed Forever
Buffalo Bill’s Casino in Primm, Nevada, is closing forever on July 7, 2025, according to reporting by Vegas Advantage. The hotel is not accepting any reservations beyond July 6, 2025, except for one weekend in November that coincides with a festival in nearby Goodsprings, Nevada.
The Casino once operated many amusement rides, including the Desparado roller coaster, a log flume, a Frog Hopper, and a drop tower. Lost Island Amusement Park in Waterloo, Iowa, acquired the drop tower.
Back in August 2022, it appeared that the Desperado coaster might reopen when the Casino reopened in 2023. However, while the roller coaster was reportedly maintained and continued to test, it never reopened.
Desperado was an Arrow Dynamics Hyper Coaster with a height of 209 feet and a top speed of 80 mph (rcdb listing). It operated from 1994 until October 2019.
